Revamp Your Metabolic Health Support from a Registered Dietitian

Are you wanting to reduce your risk, or delaying progression, of diabetes, heart disease, heart attacks, stroke, and fatty liver?

A dietitian can help you with improving your metabolic health, including reducing blood pressure, preventing high blood sugars, achieving blood lipid targets (LDL Cholesterol and triglycerides).

What is metabolic health?

There are processes happening in the body that you can't see or feel, that could be causing damage to your blood vessels and organs.

Perhaps your doctor told you that your blood sugars, cholesterol, or liver enzymes are too high and that you need to bring the levels down. Or perhaps, after suffering through a stroke or heart attack, or seeing someone in your life suffer through them, you might be searching for ways to manage these risk factors.

Under normal conditions, the body metabolizes the sugar, fat, and proteins that you consume from food, to use it for fuel. It can also create these nutrients from other nutrients, as needed. However, there can be disruptions in these processes, and this can cause damage to the body.

Instead of using these nutrients for fuel, your body might not be properly accessing or disposing of them. Fortunately, even if these processes have been disrupted, there are ways to help improve your body's metabolism and use these nutrients for fuel again..
